In order to meet the needs of our hospital patients we must collect at least 700 units of blood a week. With the help of your organization this need can be met.
Our goal is to secure as many sponsored days as possible to assure an adequate blood supply for our local hospital patients.
Deaconess and St. Mary’s Medical Center utilize the bulk of the blood collected in our area.
Benefits for Your Group or Organization:
- Support an ongoing lifesaving need in the community.
- Provide your members an opportunity to volunteer in support of the community.
- The day or days or week belongs to your organization and members can schedule appointments based on their schedule.
- The organization will be recognized on the Red Cross electronic sign for a period determined by the sponsorship as a supporter of the blood program.
- You will be able to display promotional material or other informational material about your organization in the Blood Center for a day of sponsorship; a week for a week of sponsorship and so on.
Process:
Your Organization would survey members on their interest in donating blood. From the interest identified on the survey, your organization would choose a day or days to support the level of interest (You can schedule 15 individuals daily).
We genuinely appreciate your consideration in supporting our vision to increase the blood supply from the usual one or two day supply to three days for the benefit of the blood recipients in the nineteen hospitals that we serve.
