The American Red Cross is celebrating 125 years of rich history rooted in community service through the support of selfless volunteers and donors. The American Red Cross is an agency that relies solely on community support through donations of time, money and blood products to do its work. In order to serve the community for another 125 years, it is important that we inform and educate the Tri- State about the services we provide everyday to neighbors in our community.

Our Speakers Bureau volunteers would love to share our history and services with your group, business or organization and are able to discuss the following topics:

   
How Well Do You Know the Red Cross?
 

An overview of the many services provided by the Red Cross, as well as ways to get involved at the Southwestern Indiana Chapter.

 
Saving Lives Through Blood Donation

The need for blood is constant. If eligible donors gave blood at least twice a year, there would be no seasonal blood shortages.

   
Together We Prepare (TWP)
 

Learn five easy steps to preparing oneself and their family for an emergency. Depending on the audience, this program can be adapted to certain age levels. Youth programs available

   
AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator)
 

Learn what an AED is, how it works, who needs one, how much they cost and how to get one through the Southwestern Indiana Chapter.

   
Health and Safety
 

This presentation discusses community and work place programs, babysitters training, CPR and first aid courses, to lifegaurding and swim classes. Note: This presentation does not provide certification in lifesaving training. Youth Programs available

   
Get to Know Us Before You Need Us
  This presentation familiarizes military members and their families with Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Services including communication and counseling.
