Volunteer Updates & News

WE WANT YOU!!

Like Uncle Sam said during World War II, “We Want You”. The November 6th, 2005 Tornado showed us that we need more locally trained and experienced Red Cross Management Volunteers to handle all Red Cross Functions efficiently . We need additional volunteers to take classes in almost every Function with the intent of becoming trained as a local Supervisor and/or Manager. It’s not necessary that you be available for deployment on National Disasters as we are looking for local supervisory volunteers to help with local disasters. With over 30 Functions to work we know that we can find a place of personal interest for you with our local disaster response team. Give us a call, let us know your area of interest, become a part of a great team, the American Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana. Call Joyce Cosby or Ron Dame for more information at (812) 471-7200. The Southwestern Indiana Chapter is looking for volunteers like you to join our Speakers Bureau and help to educate the community about Red Cross services through public and private speeches to civic groups and organizations, businesses, churches, government agencies and more!
